From the inception of this project, we worked closely with our clients, Peter and Karen, who came to us with an open mind and a blank canvas, to help make their dreams a reality at their St Kilda Road terrace. This beautiful outdoor space is functional, practical and visually inviting. This is a great example of what h2o designs’ specialises in – modular, custom built products of the highest quality that seamlessly integrate into their surroundings.

This expansive L-shaped courtyard has been custom designed to compliment the family’s lifestyle. The design and layout reflect both their desire for the area to be child friendly and also a place to entertain and relax.

The water wall was designed to be an interactive feature where the children can play safely with the cascading water. Clever and safe design features include concealing both the pond and pump/filtration safely under the deck, along with a shallow base pond. The striking water wall face is tiled with white, ripple effect tiles.

Another bi-functional element is the large composite decked area, which also serves as a stage for the children.

The larger planter boxes have been painted in a Porter’s rust, which contrast beautifully with all other elements painted in Dulux “Namadji”. Also featured throughout the courtyard are decorative frames with espaliered Camelias.

Framing the custom built stainless steel barbecue and Corian bench top is a h2o designs VWall, which is planted with a mix of herbs and flowering plants.

We also supplied and installed the decking, plants, garden lighting and irrigation systems for a complete project.

This is a special space, which is both child friendly and packed with clever design components that come together to seamlessly integrate with all the surrounding landscape elements.
