Note: This garden was opened in 2018

The garden was designed for an extremely active and fast-moving family. They wanted a low maintenance space that would provide dedicated areas for relaxation and entertaining and provide a beautiful outlook from their glassed living rooms.

Previously, the garden’s focal point was a huge heritage protected Oak tree, which dominated the large back yard. A swing hanging from one of its branches was a draw card for many local kids. As stunning as the tree was, it robbed much of the garden of sun and soil nutrients, leaving a bare unusable space. The new design had to accommodate this grand old lady at the same time as offering a fresh and updated outdoor environment.

To meet these specifications, zoned areas were provided including a built-in polished concrete bar and BBQ space on an expansive deck, a large lush planted garden and a stunning pool and spa. The Oak remains and is still a point of focus, but is now complemented by the fresh additions.

The front garden provides a welcoming entrance to the home with blue stone stepping stones and paving leading through a verdant lawn and beautifully planted garden. This is finished off with the signature concrete balls which can be found in many of Paul Pritchard Landscapes’ projects.
