Sue Meli

After many years working in the medical field Sue turned to study to follow her passion for horticulture and design.

Upon completion of studies in 2002 Sue entered the Don Fleming International Student Design Competition and won with her design ‘Act V, Scene ll’. This was a wonderful experience and one that she has drawn on many times during her career.

This passion for gardening has seen Sue open her garden three times for the Australian Open Garden Scheme and was the impetus to start her own business.

Sue Meli Landscape Designs was established in 2004 and encompasses all aspects of design, construction and maintenance. Prescribing to a contemporary style, her designs respect and respond to the landscape, the architecture and the clients needs.

Working mostly in the Macedon Ranges, Sue has developed a well respected design business supported by the local horticultural industry, designing for both large and small domestic gardens and boutique commercial developments.

Involvement with the client goes beyond the design and construction phases ensuring the garden continues to develop and mature to fully meet the design brief.
