Establishing his design company over 20 years ago, Paal’s background in fine arts, and as a former Head of Sculpture at Wesley College in Melbourne, has shaped his passion for pushing design boundaries. Paal personally designs and project manages every garden and is driven by the belief that strong design principles enhance a functional outdoor living space.

With his strong vision, Paal has achieved phenomenal success with his multi award winning company in Australia and around the world. With the natural world as his inspiration, he believes passionately in designing innovative, and sustainable gardens. Whether Paal is creating and tending to his rural property, or nurturing his three growing boys, Paal applies his boundless energy and zest for life to each and every project.
